The Computers Program sponsored by “Yeladim - The Council for the Child in Placement” aims to offer children in group care some of the learning opportunities generally offered children living in normal family circumstances. As such, the program provides children in residential group homes with instruction in the use of computers, standard computer programs, and Internet exposure. Staff members also receive computer instruction in order to be in a position to help the children.
Children are extremely enthusiastic about the program and we have glowing reports from staff members regarding how good the children feel about themselves and their new skills. We have also received very positive reports from the heads of the schools the children are attending and from their teachers.
