Games in New York on Behalf of Yeladim — The Council for the Child in Placement

At the suggestion of Esther Lubochinsky, Helene Epstein and her son Brendan, Rabbi David Greenberg, Mrs. Yoni Whitenmaker and Mrs. Judy Forer of the New York Jewish community joined together to hold two fundraising events in corporation with the Shaarei Tefila synagogue. The events included two basketball tournaments of local youth teams. Despite stormy weather, many people came to watch the games and donated generously. All proceeds will be used for buying sports equipment and ping pong tables for the Beit Hayeled residential group home in Jerusalem.
