Daniel Meirowitz for Children in Group Homes
Daniel Meirowitz, who recently celebrated his Bar Mitzvah, donated all the money he received from his Bar Mitzvah gifts to children in group homes through "Yeladim – The Council for the Child in Placement".
During an emotional ceremony during the meeting of the Council Board, he was presented with the certificate called "The Smile of a Child" which expresses the special appreciation for a contribution from a boy of 13…!
In his words of Blessings Professor Dan Schnidt, Head of the Council for the Child in Placement, said that "we all feel strongly about this original idea and we wish, he said with a smile, that his younger brother, Ben, who has become eleven years old, will follow in the path of his older brother.
In addition to Board Members of Yeladim – The Council for the Child in Placement the parents of Evie and Ram Meirowitz, as well as Daphne Shmelter who are connected with the Amuta through their volunteer work there. Evie and Rom Meirowitz have lately taken an active part in the yearly fund raising campaign of the Council for the Child in Placement, that took place with the Council's sponsorship, in the Tel Aviv Cultural Center.
