The Music Room – A Prize for "The Council for the Child in Placement"

The Israel Association of Midwives and Gynecology, Chaired by Prof. Yossi Lessing, awarded a twenty thousand shekel prize to "Yeladim – the Council for the Child in Placement" towards the establishment of a Music Room in one of the Israel's residential group homes for children.

 The Association's yearly conference was held in Kfar Maccabbee on March 1^st, and was attended by hundreds of doctors and midwives, members of the Association. Prof. Lessing announced that the prize was awarded this year to two voluntary organizations specially chosen because of their contribution to the community: "Yeladim – the Council for the Child in Placement" – for its long-term contribution to 8,000 children living in residential group care, and "Doctors for Human Rights".
