"Nature Experience" - Ongoing Activities
In cooperation with the Keren Kayemeth (The National Endowment Fund), 120 Jewish and Arab children from residential group homes in northern Israel participated in a day of enjoyable, enriching activities. The children were from five group homes: Omen-Afula, Beth Talia – Tiberias, Ibelin, Tamra and Kfar Yasif. The activities included: hiding acorns in the forest, group singing and presentation of a play by the counselors. The children, who were curious and asked many questions, then went for a hike in the forest, which was full of colors and fragrance. At the day's end all the children participated in a creative activity using natural forest materials, which the Keren Kayemet guides helped them work on in various spaces within the forest. |
