A Guest visits the Child-Parent Summer Camp

Stas Misezhnikov, Member of Knesset,  former Chairman of the Knesset's Finance Committee, was invited by Avinoam Ben Yitzhak, Director of "Fair Chance for Children", to visit our unique Child-Parent summer camp that took place in the "Beit Apel" residential group home in Gan Yavne. Mr. Misezhnikov visited the camp, met the children, hearing from the mothers how much the camp helps them improve their relationship with their child who was removed from their home in difficult circumstances.
 
At the end of the visit, the Director of "Fair Chance for Children" gave the Member of Knesset a picture of "homes" that Sasha, a 12 year old child in the group home, drew. Avinoam Ben Yitzhak said that the gift was in recognition of the fact the Representative Misezhnikov helped "Fair Chance for Children" to receive a grant of 400.000,00 shekels for children living in residential group homes.
 
Representative Misezhnikov was moved and promised he would not forget the children in group care, and that Sasha's picture would accompany him in every office from now on.  He took this opportunity to suggest that the Minister of Finance would also occasionally visit children at risk living in residential group care.
