Purim Makeup

A team of seven professional hairstylists and makeup artists visited the Neve WIZO residential group home in Herzlyia for Purim. The staff from Keren Meir’s Hair Salon of Herzlyia made up some 40 children and even provided some with artistic hairstyles to match their costumes.

Yardena Nof, director of the residential home, excitedly recounted the gleam in the children’s eyes and the enthusiasm and joy that the Keren Meir staff brought to the home. She told of the long line of children who with waited with endless patience for “just a few more sparkles” of artistic makeup, and their friends from school, (who live in their parental homes) who also joined in the celebration, getting made up for the party. The next day, the children from the group home were the stars of their class, with all of their friends wanting to be invited to the next event at the home. The Keren Meir staff was also very moved by their meeting with the children, some even to the point of tears. They all repeatedly promised to return for upcoming events.

The Keren Meir Salon is an ornate two-story establishment. The first story is occupied by the hair salon and the second, a beauty salon, spa and bridal salon.
